In 1996, he started his professional career by joining SANGREEN s.r.o., a company specializing in a then novel field – stabilization of reinforced concrete structures. He was involved in renovations of bridges on D1 motorway for the Czech Road and Motorway Directorate and bridges over the Southern Link in Prague. After an acquisition of SANGREEN s.r.o by COLAS CZ a.s. in 2001 he was appointed the CEO of the company, expanding its business to bridge construction.
Under his leadership, the company built new bridges on I/13 road at Liberec, I/6 road in Karlovy Vary, and elsewhere. Other major projects include a complete overhaul of the crest roads at Orlík and Slapy river dams for Povodí Vltavy s.p.
In 2006 and 2007, he served as the sales director of COLAS CZ and in 2007, when COLAS SA acquired Prague-based Čermák a Hrachovec a.s., he was appointed the latter’s deputy sales director, eventually becoming the CEO in 2012. Under his leadership, the company has seen a continuous growth of revenues, scope of projects, and partnership with other players in the industry. An acquisition of Prakan in 2013 gave the company another boost. After a spin-off of Čermák a Hrachovec in 2017, he took the company successfully through an investment financing period, and in 2021 became a member of the Board of Čermák a Hrachovec. At this position, he remains involved in its management.
He is ČKAIT Authorized Civil Engineer No. 10390 (Czech Chamber of Authorized Civil Engineers) and completed multiple managerial trainings in the Czech Republic and other countries as part of his professional development during his engagement with COLAS between 2001 and 2017.
